Abstract
Good compensation will be able to provide satisfaction for employees and allow companies to acquire, hire, and retain employees. For the management of Ratu Mayang Garden Hotel, compensation has an important meaning because it reflects the organization's efforts to maintain and improve the welfare of its employees. Inadequate compensation can reduce employee job satisfaction and the worst impact can cause potential employees to leave the company. This research method is quantitative with data collection techniques using questionnaires, and the results are analyzed with the help of the SPSS program which is then also supported by interview data from informants. The results of the study concluded; (1) Compensation at the Ratu Mayang Garden Hotel Pekanbaru City is categorized good. (2) Employee job satisfaction of Ratu Mayang Garden Hotel Pekanbaru City categorized quite good. (3) There is a significant effect of compensation on employee job satisfaction at the Ratu Mayang Garden Hotel, Pekanbaru City. The results of the t-test obtained that the value of tcount > ttable or 6,195 > 2,048 with a significant value of 0,000 <0,05. The results of the simple linear regression test show that every increase in compensation (variable X) of 0.809 will also increase employee job satisfaction (variable Y) of 9.638 constantly. The effect of compensation on employee job satisfaction at Ratu Mayang Garden Hotel Pekanbaru is 57,8% while the rest could be influenced by other variables.
