Abstract

Oversight of the Village Consultative Body on the Performance of the Village Head is an activity process aimed at ensuring that village government programs or activities can run effectively and efficiently, according to plans and provisions that have been set. The relationship between the Village Consultative Body and the Village Head as a working partner between the legislature and the executive in the village. This relationship is in accordance with Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages which is manifested in the form of the position of the Village Consultative Body which is equal to the Head of jDesa. This research is a qualitative research with the main objective to describe and illustrate all forms of Village Government of Teratak Buluh, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency in implementing the Oversight Function of the Village Consultative Body. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. From the results of this study it was concluded that the function of the Village Consultative Body on the Performance of the Village Head in the form of direct supervision and indirect supervision has not been going well, the constraints are a lack of competent Human Resources and institutionally the Village Consultative Body does not yet have a secretariat, causing the Village Consultative Body to not be managed properly an institution.
