Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the interaction of giving ketapang leaf POC and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and production of cucumber plants. This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution, Km 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, the research was carried out for 3 months starting from February - April 2022. The design used in this study is a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, the first factor is liquid organic fertilizer of ketapang leaves (R) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 45, 90, and 135 ml/l and the second factor is NPK 16: 16:16 (S) consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 1.35, 2.70, and 4.05 g/plant, obtained 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so that there were 48 experimental units. Parameters observed were age of flowering, age of first harvest, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, weight of fruit per fruit, and fruit length. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of POC in ketapang leaves and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was POC of ketapan leaves 135 ml/l water and NPK 16:16:16 4.05 g/plant. The main effect of POC in ketapang leaves has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment is 135 ml/l of water. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 has a significant effect on all observation parameters. Best treatment 4.5 g/plant.
