Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction effect and main effect of Mycorrhizal Biofertilizer and NPK Mg 12:12:17:2 on the Growth of Oil Palm Seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) in the Main Nursery on Red Yellow Podzolic Media. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor is Mycorrhizal Biological Fertilizer which consists of 4 levels namely 0 g, 20g, 40g , 60g/polybag and the second factor is the dose of NPK Mg Fertilizer 12:12:17:2 consisting of 4 levels namely 0, 15g, 30g, 45 g/polybag so there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, for 6 months starting from February to July 2022. Parameters observed were increase in plant height, increase in number of leaves, increase in longest leaf midrib, increase in tuber diameter, root volume and longest root length. Observational data from each treatment were analyzed statistically and continued with a follow-up test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at a level of 5%. 17:2 had a significant effect on the root volume and longest root length parameters. The main effect of Mycorrhiza Biological Fertilizers is significant for all parameters. The best treatment was Bio-Mycorrhizal Fertilizer 20 g/plant. The main effect of NPK 12:12:17:2 fertilizer was significant for all observed parameters. The best treatment is NPK Mg 12:12:17:2 45 g/plant.
