Abstract

Textbook is one of the instruments to arrange learning process. Selection of textbook is necessary to us, even if we must examine as many different books. This thing is important because it affected student experience when learning. The aim of this research is to know the feasibility of content on the textbook entitled ‘Talk Active’ published by Yudhistira. This research is use qualitative method and designed with content analysis technique. The source of the data is from textbook entitled ''Talk Active'' published by Yudhistira. the researcher used BSNP rubric assessment as the guidance to analyse the data, with the indicator as follows Social Function, Relevance and Up to Datedness, Development of Life Skills, and Development of Diversity Insight. There are several findings based on two formulations by the analysis. The Accuracy of Material from analysis of Feasibility of Content is worth of BSNP criteria, by fulfilled most of Social Function aspects in the material with Even though, there are several lackness in supporting Materials, this book fulfill (80%) of Social Function aspect. Furthermore, this textbook is lack of Supporting Materials that can be seen in Relevance and Up to Datedness (40%), Development of Life Skill (20%), and Development of Diversity Insight (100%) .The implication from this research is this textbook still feasible to be used in learning process by fulfilled of BSNP rubric assessment but Supporting Material should be present more dominant to improve students understanding. However, this textbook already be a part of refinement process of our curriculum in Indonesia.
