Abstract

Basic English grammar is one of the course in English language education where the students learn about the text. This research aims to find out the perception of the first-semester students’ in using Quizizz of FKIP Universitas Islam Riau. This research focuses on the students’ perception in using Quizizz in teaching and learning basic English grammar. This study was quantitative. This research was conducted at Universitas Islam Riau in Pekanbaru, especially in basic English grammar class. The research participant was 32 first semester-students. The researcher used a questionnaire with 5 indicators there are ease to access, perceived usefulness, communication and interaction, perceive instruction delivery and students’ satisfaction. Based on the result of the research taken from the questionnaire, the researcher found that the students have a positive perspective in using Quizizz. The level of ease to access indicator was 78,50%. The level of perceived usefulness indicator was 78,39%. The level of communication and interaction indicator was 74,75%. The level of perceived instruction delivery indicator was 75.5%. The level of student's satisfaction indicator was 73,54%
