Abstract

Every educational institution certainly has a goal to be achieved for its students, then uses a method that will bring students to achieve the goals of the institution. Pondok Pesantren Umm Sulaim Pekanbaru is one of the educational institutions in Pekanbaru Riau which concentrates on teaching Arabic to its students, one of which is in maharah al-qira'ah. One of the methods used by this educational institution is to hold an activity called ad-dars al-idhafi. For this reason, researchers want to see how far the influence of this ad-dars al-idhafi activity on increasing the maharah al-qira'ah of students. So the researchers made a study entitled "The Effect of Ad-Dars al-Idhafi in Increasing Maharah al-Qira'ah Santri Mutawashitah Class 2 Ma'had Umm Sulaim Pekanbaru. With the formulation of the problem, is there any effect of the application of ad-dars al-idhafi on the increase in the maharah al-qira'ah of the second grade students of Mutawasshitah Ma'had Umm Sulaim Pekanbaru?. This research was conducted using an ex-post facto research method which examined the relationship between the influence of variables without being manipulated by the researcher. This research was conducted in Ma'had Umm Sulaim Pekanbaru with a total sample of 30 people from a population of 100 people. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that there is a positive influence between the activities of ad-dars al-idhafi on the increase in maharah al-qira'ah students of grade 2 mutawasshitah Ma'had Umm Sulaim Pekanbaru. This is shown from the results of simple linear regression analysis which shows a significance result of 0.00. Since the result of the significance test is less than 0.05, the hypothesis H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that there is a positive influence between ad-dars al-idhafi activities on the increase in maharah al-qira'ah students of grade 2 mutawasshitah Ma'had Umm Sulaim Pekanbaru.
