Abstract

Islamic Education Faculty Islamic University of Riau The purpose in this research examined to know the effectiveness of using audiolingual method in Arabic learning on speaking ability improvement for class 1 students at boarding school Khoirul Ummah 2 Pekanbaru. The method used quantitative method by using one group pre-test – post-test experiment approach design, and the sample was 30 respondents. Data collection technique used test and documentation. This research finding showed that based on statistical test result was known that Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) was in 0.000, the probability was less than 0.05 or p < 0.05 and Ho was rejected. It meant that audiolingual method was affective on speaking ability improvement for students’ class 1 boarding school Khoirul Ummah 2 Pekanbaru.
