Abstract
the purpose of this study was to improve the basic technique of badminton long service in class VIIIA Student of smpn 2 taoung hilir by using thr drull method.basd on the result of data processung that had been carried out in the cycle,firts,tbere were 20 student who achieved the kkm score (64,5%) and therre were 11 students who had not reached the kkm (35,5%) so this research was continued by cryying out cycle ll and there were 4 students who had not reached the kkm (,13%) thus.it cab be cpncluded thar there is an improvemebr in the basic long service badminton technique using the drill method for class VIIIA srudent of smpn 2 tapung hilir
