Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of banana stem bokashi and Mutiara NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and production of soybean plants. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution, Km 11 No.113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study lasted for 4/5 months starting from August to December 2021. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of two factors, namely the first factor bokashi banana stems (B) consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 1, 1, 2.2 and 3.3 kg/plot. The second factor NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 (N) consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 16, 32 and 48 g/plot. Parameters observed were relative growth rate, plant height, flowering age, harvest age, percentage of fruitful pods, seed weight per plant, weight of 100 dry seeds per plant. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of banana stem bokashi and Mutiara NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on plant height, flowering age, harvesting age, percentage of fruitful pods, seed weight per plant. The best treatment was banana stem bokashi 3.3 kg/plot and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 48 g/plot. The main effect of banana stem bokashi is significant on all parameters with the best dose of 3.3 kg/plot. The main effect of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 was real on all observation parameters with the best dose of 48 g/plot.
