Abstract

This study aims to determine the coordination of the sub-district government in controlling illegal gold mining in Kuantan Hilir Seberang District, Kuantan Singingi Regency and to find out the inhibiting factors for controlling illegal gold mining in Kuantan Hilir Seberang District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Type of qualitative research. The data comes from the results of interviews and observations. Informants in this study consisted of the Head of Kuantan Hilir Seberang Subdistrict, Head of Trantib, Kapolsek Kuantan Hilir, Bhabinkamtibmas, and PETI perpetrators. Based on research conducted on the Coordination of the District Government in Ordering Illegal Gold Mining in the District of Kuantan Hilir Seberang, Kuantan Singingi Regency, it can be concluded that (1) Participation. The sub-district government forms an integrated team to control illegal gold mining activities (2) Delegation of authority. The establishment of an integrated team for controlling illegal gold mining in Kuantan Singingi district which is a special team from Kuantan Singingi district which was formed in 2006 (based on the Decree of the Regent of Kuantan Singingi No. 283 of 2006). (3) Communication. The difficulty in eradicating PETI in Kuantan Singingi Regency is because the local community has let go of this because the perpetrators and funders are indicated to be elements of the local community. And on the inhibiting factor for the coordination of the sub-district government in controlling illegal gold mining in Kuantan Hilir Seberang District, Kuantan Singingi Regency because of lack of communication and lack of community participation.
