Abstract

Occupational health and safety is an important matter for the company to pay attention to. Because the impact of work accidents can be detrimental to the workforce and the company itself and has the potential to affect the company's productivity. In general, occupational safety and health refers to the interaction between workers and those used in the work environment in the company's operational processes. The use of technology and various kinds of chemical raw materials has a high level of risk of causing work accidents. The main problem in this study is regarding the Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health for workers at PT. Oriental PrimaSinergi Engineering and legal provisions and obstacles in the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health for workers at PT. Oriental PrimaSinergi Engineering. This legal research is a type of Sociological Law research. This type of research method is intended to solve existing problems by collecting data and compiling or classifying it and then analyzing and seeing a legal reality in society to then obtain a result. The results of the research that the authors obtained were the implementation of occupational health and safety protection for workers at PT. Oriental PrimaSinergi Engineering in Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency is quite good, it's just that there are several employees who experience work accidents while doing work caused by several factors, the most important factor is the negligence of the workers themselves and also other factors that exist in the field such as weather, access roads, units, etc. Legal provisions regarding the implementation of PT. Oriental PrimaSinergi Engineering, namely Law No. 1 of 1970 concerning Work Safety. The obstacles faced by PT. Oriental PrimaSinergi Engineering in carrying out occupational safety and health is that there is no awareness of the workers about the dangers of the work being done, the workers think that the work being done is normal or takes a job lightly. In addition, mental factors also affect the occurrence of work accidents.
