Abstract

This study aims to determine the interpersonal communication of Class X Teachers at SMA N 4 Pekanbaru and to determine what factors inhibit the influence of interpersonal communication between teachers and students in Class X SMA N 4 Pekanbaru. Research subjects are people who become informants in a study. As for the subject of this research is the Mathematics Teacher Class X SMA N 4 Pekanbaru as many as 5 people. The data used in this study is primary data and secondary data, while the data collection technique uses interviews. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results showed that the interpersonal communication of teachers and students in the learning process of SMA N 4 Pekanbaru City was good. This can be seen from the observation that some teachers and students have implemented interpersonal communication between the two who establish good social relationships and maintain the quality of communication between them. both. The inhibiting factors for interpersonal communication in general, namely: from the results of field observations that the teacher of SMA N 4 Pekanbaru City in the learning process does not always go well, of course there will be many obstacles on the way. Barriers that often arise are interpersonal communication barriers, because interpersonal communication is the main key to success during the learning process, including: Some students fight in class so that learning is disrupted, then interpersonal communication in learning will cause obstacles in class if it displays inadequate and inadequate media and is too convey a lot of verbal messages without being accompanied by appropriate nonverbal messages so that the message is one-way.
