Abstract

Sidomulyo houses are the residence of Pekanbaru city, the area of the sidomulyo housing of 47,2 Ha. As the region grows rapidly enough, there are problems in sidomulyo housing, such as standing water. During the rainy season many areas are flooded with water rising levels of roughly 15-30cm. Standing water can interfere with community activities in the sidomulyo housing, even worse conditions could cause flooding disasters that threaten the safety of the people living in the sidomulyo housing. The study is aimed at investigating factors that have caused puddles in the sidomulyo residential areas. The method of data analysis used in this study is qualitative, quantitative and regression analysis. Qualitative methods to describe data obtained from both the literature review and the field data. The quantitative method is used to calculate the intensity of rainfall and to calculate the time of the concentration of drainage lines and the final analysis of the multiple regressions to determine which factor affects the standing water of the Sidomulyo housing area. Based on analysis, the most dominated site of Sidomulyo housing was a settlement of 44,7 Ha, with a vacant lot of 2,5 Ha. The soil types in the Sidomulyo estate are organosol/ troposaprists, the peat ground. 2073 houses in sidomulyo housing. Based on the results of multiple linear regression tests, it could be concluded that land creases, rainfall, slope, and drainage systems have a direct effect on standing water in the Sidomulyo housing. With a slope is the most significant factor in standing water and is driven by rainfall factors, drainage systems and land covers.
