Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect combination of maggot flour (H. illucens) and cassava leaf flour (M. Utilissima) on the survival and growth of pond fish seed (H. temminckii). The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely P1 = 100% Maggot Flour. P2 = Maggot Flour 75% + Cassava Leaf Flour 25%. P3= Maggot Flour 50% + Cassava Leaf Flour 50%. P4= Maggot Flour 25% + Cassava Leaf Flour 75%. P5= Cassava Leaf Flour 100%. The results of the research that has been done that the combination of maggot flour and cassava leaf flour as feed is able to stimulate the growth of aquaculture fish seeds. Treatment P4 (25% Maggot Flour + 75% Cassava Leaf Flour) was the best percentage of feeding a combination of maggot flour and cassava leaf flour on fish pond fish, which resulted in absolute weight growth of 0.49 g, absolute length growth of 1.10 cm , daily growth rate of 8.43% and feed conversion of 0.55 compared to other treatments. The survival rate of pond fish fry obtained during the study was 100%. The high survival rate of aquaculture fry indicates that the combination of maggot flour and cassava leaf meal as aquaculture seed feed can be accepted by pond fish seeds. Water quality parameters are temperature 27-32 0C, pH 6, DO 4.3-6.3 ppm and NH3 0.14-2.42 ppm.
