Abstract

Social media has now become a trend in marketing communications. Social media is an online medium, with its users being able to easily participate, share, and create content including blogs, social networks, wikis, forums and virtual worlds. Blogs, social networks,. Social media as “a group of internet-based applications that build on the ideological and technological foundations of Web 2.0, and which enable the creation and exchange of user-generated content.” Research methods are scientific procedures or ways to obtain data with a specific purpose. Through questionnaires and so on we collect data to test for hypotension or answer a question. Through this descriptive research, the researcher will explain what actually happened regarding the current situation being studied. In general, this study shows that self-disclosure on social media users is in the medium category and tends to be high. This is evidenced from every aspect studied, the percentage for the highest category is in the medium category, and is almost always followed by the high category. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the self-disclosure description of social media users is in the medium category but tends to be high, namely 41.2%, then followed by high results, which is 28.6%. This means that social media users already have Self Disclosure at a moderate level but towards high, according to the results obtained. Based on gender, it can be seen that the level of Self Disclosure is not significantly different when viewed from gender. Based on age, it can be seen that there is no difference in the level of self-disclosure in terms of age.
