Abstract

This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution km 11 no 113, Water Village Cold, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted for 3 months from November 2020 to January 2021. Research objectives this is to determine the effect of the interaction of vermicompost fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 on Growth and Yield of Shallots (Allium ascalonium L.). Draft used in this study is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is vermicompost fertilizer (K). consists of four levels with doses of 0, 10, 20, 30 g/Polybag, the second factor is NPK 16:16:16 (N) which consists of four levels with doses (0), (0.37), (0.62), (0.87) g/poly bag. Parameters include plant height, harvest age, number of tubers clumping, fresh tuber weight of clump, dry tuber weight of clump, tuber weight per tuber and tuber weight loss. The results of the research show that the interaction influences application of vermicompost fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 has a significant effect on height plant, fresh tuber weight of the clump, and dry tuber weight of the clump. Treatment the best is the provision of vermicompost fertilizer 30 g/polybag and NPK 16:16:16 0.87 g/poly bag (K3N3). The main effect of real vermicompost fertilizer on all parameters, the best treatment was found in the application of vermicompost fertilizer 30 g/plot (K3). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer is real on all parameters, treatments the best is found in the provision of NPK 16:16:16 0.87 g/polybag (N3).
