Abstract

Urban drainage systems have an important role in managing and controlling water from flooding in an area. Flooding often occurs in the area of Jl. H.R. Soebrantas due to drainage can not hold water so inundating settlements and roads that cause congestion in traffic. Efforts to develop sustainable urban drainage systems require integrated drainage and ecodrainage. Ecodrainage as an effort to manage excess water by seeping into the soil naturally as much as possible and drain the river without exceeding the capacity of the river. The purpose of this study is to determine the flood inundation reduction plan based on ecodrainage in the area of Jl. H.R. Soebrantas Pekanbaru, using deductive approach with Mixed Methods (combining quantitative and qualitative methods) The results showed that the existing condition of the drainage system is categorized as bad (not functioning properly). The causes of inundation are (1) drainage system, (2) rain intensity, (3) topography, (4) land cover and (5) channel capacity. The intensity of rain when the 5-year anniversary of 46.58 mm is classified as heavy rain. Channel capacity Jl. H.R. Soebrantas (right 1.42 m3 / sec with Qrunoffdan 1.51 m3 /sec and left 1.31 m3 /sec with Qrunoff 2.15 m3 / sec). Alternative to reduce flood inundation at some point inundation is planned as many as 1,806 infiltration wells with infiltration volume of 2.255 m3 the average effectiveness rate of 99.38% and 1280 biopore infiltration holes can accommodate water along the median of Jl. H.R. Soebrantas of 21.76 m3 .
