Abstract

BAZNAS in Rokan Hilir is an institution that receives, manages and distributes zakat funds which is legalized based on the issuance of the Decree of the Regent of Rohil No. 325/SOS/2006 while the management is in accordance with Law Number 23 of 2011. The BAZNAS in Rokan Hilir assists the MSME actors, especially for the Bagansiapi community who require business capital assistance without interest so that the economy and benefits can increase and the enterprises can develop to be better. The problem formulation of the study is how to the strategies for MSME development of the National Zakat Board (BAZNAS) in Rokan Hilir Regency. The aim of the study is to investigate the strategies for MSME development of the National Zakat Board (BAZNAS) in Rokan Hilir Regency. The type of the study is field research with a qualitative method. The data collection techniques of the study are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis is through the steps of data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The Informants of this study consists of 8 respondents. The results of the study show that the development of MSMEs has several strategies, namely: First, the capital source of productive zakat funds is able to assist MSME actors in developing their business. Second, the technology and innovation tools and new equipments are provided by BAZNAS for the enterprises as they need. Third, marketing is done by providing information to consumers through product promotion in accordance with the target market. Fourth, the management development from the production process until the goods (products) distributed to the consumers, in this case, the MSMEs must need good management, so the BAZNAS provides trainings and supervision for the MSMEs.
