Abstract

The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of family environment on students’ learning motivation class XI Islamic senior high school Himmatul Ummah Tapung sub-district Kampar regency. This research used correlation quantitative research. This research was motivated by the lack of students’ class XI learning motivation at Islamic senior high school Himmatul Ummah Tapung sub-district Kampar regency. The subject in this research was students’ class XI at Islamic senior high school Himmatul Ummah Tapung subdistrict Kampar regency and the object was family environment on students’ class XI learning motivation at Islamic senior high school Himmatul Ummah Tapung sub-district Kampar regency. The population in this research was 133 students and sample took 100 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. This research finding showed that there was any influence of family environment on students’ class XI learning motivation at Islamic senior high school Himmatul Ummah Tapung sub-district Kampar regency. It was known by simple linear regression analysis with significant score smaller than 0.05 where 0.000 < 0.05 and the hypothesis was accepted. The influence score about family environment on stuents’ learning motivation was 0.240 or 24.0% and it was classified into low category because it was in range 0.20-0.339 and it was in correlation coefficient interpretation table, meanwhile the others 76% was influenced by others factors. It meant that the hypothesis was accepted. The level of relationship between family environment and students’ class XI leaning motivation at Islamic senior high school Himmatul Ummah Tapung sub-district Kampar regency was in low category.
