Abstract

This research is motivated by the low character of students. Symptoms that can be seen include the character of students at Madrasah Aliyah Teluk Dalam that does not reflect good character, there are some students who speak disrespectfully both to friends and in the school environment, often heard by students who do not keep their words and behavior. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is an influence of Islamic communication in the family on the honest character of students at the Madrasah Aliayah Teluk Dalam, Kuala Kampar District, Plalawan Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Islamic communication in the family on the honest character of students at the Madrasah Aliyah Teluk Dalam, Kuala Kampar District, Plalawan Regency, Riau Province. The population in this study were all students at Madrasah Aliyah Teluk Dalam, totaling 54 students, and all of them were used as research samples. Ways to collect research data using questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is normality test, and simple linear regression analysis. And the processing is calculated by SPSS 22. The results in this study indicate that the results of the significant value are less than 0.05, namely 0.000 < 0.05, so the hypothesis of this study is accepted. This means that there is an influence of Islamic communication in the family on the honest character of students at Madrasah Aliyah Teluk Dalam. With a large level of influence is 0.299 or 29.9% which is in the range of 0.20-0.399 which means weak. This means that there is an influence of Islamic Communication in the family on the honest character of students at the Teluk Dalam Madrasah Aliyah, Kuala Kampar District, Plalawan Regency with a weak relationship level.
