Abstract

This research was motivated by students’ learning interest problems that was happened to some students at senior high school YLPI Pekanbaru. There were some students’ problems such as some students avoided their friend when studying. Students spoke when teacher explained the lesson, they did not write note about the materials, and so on. The purpose in this research examined to know Islamic education lesson teacher’s teaching creativity on students’ learning interest in Islamic education lesson at senior high school YLPI Pekanbaru. This research used quantitative with correlational research. The subject used all class XI students at senior high school YLPI Pekanbaru. The population was all class XI senior high school YLPI Pekanbaru in 50 students. This research consisted of two variables where teaching creativity (variable X) and cognitive learning interest (variable Y). Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. it could be seen from data computation by using IBM SPSS statistic 23.00 for windows that simple regression analysis was got significant score smaller than 0.05 where 0.00 < 0.05, and the hypothesis was accepted and it meant that there was any influence of Islamic education lesson teacher’s teaching creativity on students’ learning interest at senior high school YLPI Pekanbaru. The influence score for Islamic education lesson teacher’s teaching creativity on students’ learning interest at senior high school YLPI Pekanbaru was 0.202 or 20.2%, and this influence was in low criterion and it was in range 0.20-0.399.
