Abstract

The reality of the socio-cultural conditions of the people of Rokan Hilir Regency needs to be a serious concern by the local government. Changes in behavior in a negative direction are increasingly worrying so that efforts need to be made to fortify these changes. Based on these considerations, the local government took the initiative to revive religious activities in Rokan Hilir district. One of the routine activities carried out by the local government is Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an so that researchers are interested in conducting research on the Evaluation of Regional Religious Activities Development in Rokan Hilir Regency. The purpose of this study was to analyze the evaluation of the development of regional religious activities in Rokan Hilir Regency and to determine the factors that hinder the evaluation of the development of regional religious activities in Rokan Hilir Regency. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach with the number of informants as many as 10 people, namely the Regional Secretary, Assistant for Welfare, Head of Welfare, Head of Subdivision of Mental Spiritual and Staff, LPTQ Management, MTQ Participants, Head of Islamic Community Guidance and Head of Islamic Community Guidance, Rokan Hilir. The results of this study are that the guidance has not been running effectively to promote regional religious activities in Rokan Hilir Regency because there have not been too many efforts made by the Regional Government for the continuity of religious activities so that the results have not been in accordance with the targets that have been set. The inhibiting factors in the evaluation of the development of religious activities are the development of religious activities that have not been carried out properly due to minimal funds or budget, the time of coaching that cannot be determined, government policies that are not yet concrete and educators who are not overall considered professional.
