Abstract

Analysis of Factors Affecting Rice Field Farming in Lareh Sago Halaban District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. Under the Guidance of Mr. Dr. Ir. UP. Ismail, M. Agr as Advisor. Rice provides high profits, because rice produces rice which is the staple food of the Indonesian population. Maximum rice production will be achieved if the existing production inputs are allocated optimally. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of rice farmers, lowland rice farming and the influence of inputs (land area, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and labor) on lowland rice farming production, in Lareh Sago Halaban District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The method used in this research is a survey method in Lareh Sago Halaban District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This research has been carried out for 6 (six) months starting from January 2020 to June 2020. The samples used were 42 rice farmers who were selected at simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, to see the effect of production inputs on production. The results showed that the average age of paddy rice farmers was 43 years, farming experience was 16 years, and the average number of dependents of the family was 4 people. The average production (Rp/Garapan/MT) is 2,304.29 Kg with an average total cost of Rp. 4,732,936.84 The average family work income is Rp. 10,369,285.71 with an average net income of Rp. 6,980,657.21 so that the efficiency level is 1.74. Lowland rice farming production is influenced by land area (X1), use of seeds (X2), use of labor (X3), use of urea fertilizer (X4), use of TSP fertilizer (X5), use of KCL fertilizer (X6), use of organic fertilizers (X7), but for the variable use of insecticides (X8), the use of herbicides (X9) and the use of fungicides (X10) did not have a significant effect with an Rsquare value of 99.70%, while the remaining 0.30% was influenced by other factors outside of the variable. researched.
