Abstract

Productivity is one of the components that must be owned by an institution or organization if it wants to achieve the goals that have been set. In an effort to increase employee work productivity, not only relying on the quality of the products produced, but organizations or institutions also need to pay attention to factors that affect employee work productivity, such as the influence of salary/wage satisfaction, working conditions and service programs for employees. Good service quality can be seen how far the service is able to meet the expectations of the community. Many public services held by government agencies have not met the quality expected by the community. However, from the results of field observations, the authors observed that the main problem was the employees at the sub-district office. Lack of employee motivation in carrying out tasks, and employees also prioritize work outside the office while office work has not been completed properly and there is no desire to improve self-ability by innovating and learning new things in providing services. The main purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of work productivity and employee motivation on the quality of public services at the Kecepatan sub-district office, Rokan Hulu Regency. The type of research used in this research is quantitative using an associative explanatory approach. The number of research respondents was 31 people with the Kecepatan District Head as the key informant. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews and analysis using SPSS 22. The results of research on the effect of work productivity and employee motivation on service quality indicate that work productivity and employee motivation together have a significant effect on service quality at the Kecepatan District Office. Therefore Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted further based on the results of the adjusted R Square value, the dependent variable of service quality is explained by the independent variables of work productivity and employee motivation and the rest is explained by other variables outside of the variables used.
