Abstract

The opinion is an idea, perception, perspective or the result of people's mind in explaining or responding something but the characteristic is not objective and the truth is not certain. The opinion comes as the results of talks about a controversial issue which rises to different opinions. Mass media is a medium of communication and information that spreads information en masse and accessible to the public too. Information that benefits to the public are not only a piece of information that may be consumed by the personal but also en masse. Television is one of the communication media which is the with the most users. Because by way of television, the viewers can perceiving and listening to information directly. Thus, it makes the viewers easily to absorb the various information presented. Talk shows on television are assumed as a boring program oftentimes. However, in the last few years, the diversity and creativity of private television stations are able to produce different shows and become more easily to be accepted by the public. Including the Rumah Uya talk show that is broadcasted on Trans7 Tv station. Rumah Uya talk show is a tapping program and broadcasted on Monday to Friday at 17.00-18.00 WIB, with 60 minutes long and it is including the advertisements. This program starts airing on Monday 17 September 2015 in the TRANS7 channel. This talk show program which has the main objective of being a mediator as well as finding a solution for hostile parties. Now, the research method in this study is to use a qualitative descriptive research method by selecting 7 informants. From the research results, it is known that most opinions of students from the Faculty of Islamic Religion at the Islamic University of Riau still like the Uya House program as a means of entertainment, however, because of this show reaps many pros and cons in the community, there are also some students of the Faculty of Islamic Religion who do not like this show. It is because this talk show is very vulnerable to being consumed by minors. Moreover, the problems that are broadcasted always contains uneducated behaviour for underage children to imitate.
