Abstract

The market is a place where social, cultural, and economic interactions take place in which two or more parties are involved in the sale and purchase of goods and services or products. Pasir Pengaraian Modren Market is one of the traditional markets which has now developed into a modern market which was built and managed by the Rokan Hulu Jaya Regional Company which is located in Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The purpose of this study is to identify, analyze, describe, and identify management factors. This research uses a qualitative descriptive methodology. The research focus that was determined was Management of Modern Markets by the Regional Company of Rokan Hulu Jaya, which consisted of Management in Organizational Planning and Control and its obstacles. The research informants were the Director of the Rokan Hulu Jaya Regional Company, Modern Market Traders and Visitors to Modern Markets. While the data collection technique is done by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that Modern Market Management in Planning, Organizing, Control in Modern Market management has not been going well and effectively because there are still many traders in placing the traders not in accordance with the expected results, including obstacles in determining the classification of places in the Modern Market. funds or budget from the Government to complete the construction on the 3rd floor so that the place to be determined cannot be in accordance with the wishes of the traders and is not in accordance with the plan of the Regional Company. In addition, the inhibiting factor that was found through interviews to determine the classification of the places of traders, namely the lack of good communication between traders and employess, so that the suggestions from the traders who proposed to match the desired placement of places were not fulfilled or implemented.
