Abstract

This study purpose to determine and analyze the effect of individual characteristics and job characteristics on organizational commitment at PT. PLN (Persero) UPDK Pekanbaru. This study uses probability sampling techniques with census methods, the population in this study were 56 employees and a sample of 56 respondents was used. Research data obtained from the results of questionnaires, literature study and direct interviews. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression, determination test and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the individual characteristic variables have a positive and insignificant effect on employee organizational commitment at PT. PLN (Persero) UPDK Pekanbaru, while job characteristics variables have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment at PT. PLN (Persero) UPDK Pekanbaru. To test simultaneously individual characteristics and job characteristics have a simultaneous effect on organizational commitment at PT. PLN (Persero) UPDK Pekanbaru.
