Abstract

In improving the community's economy through Village Owned Enterprises, the role of village government is needed. The role of the village government in improving the economy of rural communities through Village-Owned Enterprises is the main basis for the implementation of improving the economy through Village-Owned Enterprises can be implemented properly or not. This study aims to determine the role of the village government in improving the community's economy through BUMDes in Boncah Mahang Village. This study uses a descriptive survey and qualitative methods. To achieve the objectives of this study using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. In this study using Levinson's theory in Soekanto with the dimensions of Role, Individual, and Social Structure. The results of this study indicate that the role of the local government in improving the community's economy through Village-Owned Enterprises is good, it's just that the government's role has not been able to improve the community's economy as a whole because Boncah Mahang Village-Owned Enterprises are still in the development stage.
