Abstract

Rapid technological developments gave birth to various new technologies, one of the new technologies that is growing rapidly at this time is social media which is the development of an internet-based website. One of the new social media (New Media) that is favored by many people according to kompas.com is Instagram social media, this social media is one of the most popular and most widely used today. As of November 2019, the number of monthly active Instagram users in Indonesia has reached 61,610,000 users. (Wahyunanda, 2019). In this study, the researcher uses a qualitative method using AISAS theory, while the subject of this research is the Instagram account @minanglipp as a Paid Promote medium. The results show that the @minanglipp instagram account makes it easier for prospective clients to get information about the products they need, they make it easier for prospective clients by providing accurate and complete contact information, this aims to make it easier for their prospective clients. Based on the author's analysis on the upload of the @minanglipp Instagram account, this account has a characteristic that it always uploads entertainment content that is always Minangkabau-themed, so this account has one characteristic of its own.
