Abstract

Flooding is a natural disaster that can occur in lowland areas and dense urban areas such as the city of Pekanbaru. These natural disaster that often occurs on a different scale. The causes of floods among other the area on the edge of the river, the presence of obstacles in the waterways around community homes, high rainfall, the volume of waste. This will have fatal consequences so that areas on the banks of the river often experience floods. In making this flood prediction system the Naïve Bayes method is used. To make it easier to determine the prediction results, namely the calculation steps using the Naïve Bayes method. The variables or indicators used in this study are rainfall, garbage volume, and flood discharge. This system is implemented with a web programming language with PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) and uses a MySQL database. Testing the accuracy of this flood prediction system is 90.24% and the results of the implementation of this system are with a percentage value of 77% indicating that this flood prediction system can be applied.
