Abstract

Management of Tasik Malay Art Studio, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province Dr. Nurmalinda, S.Kar., M.Pd Atika Zikro ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the management of the Tasik Malay Art Studio, especially the managerial functions which include: planning, organizing, and controlling, administration, finance. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research took the subject of Tasik Malay Art Studio, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. Data collection techniques using direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informant in this study was Tri Siska who is concurrently a trainer and leader at the Tasik Malay Art Studio. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive technique. Tasik Malay Art Studio is an art organization that applies traditional management, namely management that is applied based on mutual agreement which is adjusted to the situation and conditions of the studio. Every decision related to the activities of the studio depends on the group leader. The patterns used in the studio activities are simplicity, brotherhood, guided by habits, mutual respect, and high enthusiasm. The planning aspect is made periodically at the beginning of the learning month which includes the schedule of dance material every week, training schedules, dance performances, and compulsory student contributions. The organizing aspect has been formed, but there are often duplication of tasks for both employees and leaders of the Tasik Malay Art Studio. The motivating aspect (mobilization) is carried out in stages, the implementation of the activity schedule can change conditionally. Every program that has been designed, the Tasik Malay Art Studio tries to carry out these activities, if within one month it cannot be implemented, it will be carried out in the following month. The controlling aspect (supervision) of each activity is directly supervised by the leader of the studio, such as in the training process and in dance performances.
