Abstract

The research entitled "Use of MOL Keong Mas and the Rest of Watermelon Fruit to Growth and Production of Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus)". Has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City for 4 months, starting from March to June 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the interactions and the main use of MOL snail mas and MOL remaining watermelon on the growth and production of watermelon plants. This research is a factorial experiment 4 x 4 in a completely randomized design with 3 replications consisting of two factors. The first factor was MOL snail mas with 4 levels, namely 0, 15, 30, and 45 ml / l of water. The second factor was the MOL of the remaining watermelon with 4 levels, namely, 0, 3, 6, and 9 ml / l of water. The parameters observed were flowering age, number of male flowers, number of female flowers, fruit weight per fruit, fruit convolution, and organoleptic tests. Observation data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ further test at the 5% level. The results showed that: the interaction of MOL snails and watermelon fruit residue affected the flowering age, the number of male flowers, the number of female flowers, the fruit weight per fruit, the fruit girth, and the organoleptic test. The best treatment was the combination treatment of MOL snail mas 45 ml / l water and MOL remaining 9 ml / l watermelon water. The main effect of golden snail MOL was on all parameters of the observation with the best treatment of 45 ml / l of water. The main effect of MOL of watermelon residue on all parameters of the observation with the best treatment was 9 ml / l of water.
