Abstract

The high rate of abortion among teenagers is due to the lack of early sex education and minimal religious knowledge. Some of the things that lead to unwanted pregnancies in adolescents include promiscuity without parental control which causes the teenager to feel free to do whatever he wants. In this study, the problem was reviewed using the theory of criminology, namely the theory of differential association. The study was conducted using a qualitative method with the main research data obtained through interviews with couples who perform abortions and who help couples who perform abortions. This study found that the abortion carried out by the perpetrator occurred because the perpetrator was not ready to have children and was responsible for what he had done. This also refers to the result of being out of wedlock, and also still in college. With the existence of ways to have an abortion such as buying drugs, using pineapple, and strenuous exercise, this action becomes misused to abort the womb.
