Abstract
This study examines the role of the village government in infrastructure development in Sialang Kayu Batu Village, Bunut District, Pelalawan Regency. The village government has a very influential role in infrastructure development efforts in the village. Based on the village development regulations as referred to in Law Number 6 of 2014 in article 78 in paragraph (1) village development includes planning, implementation, and supervision, (2) prioritizing togetherness, kinship, mutual cooperation in order to realize peace and social justice. This study aims to determine the role of the village government in the development of village infrastructure and to determine the factors that influence efforts to increase the capacity of the village government in infrastructure development in Sialang Kayu Batu Village, Bunut District, Pelalawan Regency. This study uses qualitative research methods that aim to explore more in the facts regarding the role of the village government in infrastructure development in the village of Sialang Kayu Batu, Bunut District, Pelalawan Regency. The role of the government as a motivator by being a driver and encouragement or fostering motivation for the community to participate in the development of village infrastructure. As for the role of the village government as a facilitator, the village government has provided good facilities. As for the role of the village government as a mobilizer, the village government fully supports what is in the interest of the community with the development of village infrastructure. As for the factors in the development of this infrastructure, it is for the progress of the village community and the progress of the village of Sialang Kayu Batu, Bunut District, Pelalawan Regency. The implementation of village infrastructure development is in accordance with the rules of village infrastructure development and supervision is good enough by always paying attention to the condition of village infrastructure.
