Abstract

This study examines good governance in the management of green open spaces in the city of Pekanbaru (a study of the transfer of functions of green open spaces). This study aims to determine the application of the concept of green open space management in the city of Pekanbaru and what are the obstacles in managing green open spaces in the city of Pekanbaru. This type of research, which is located on Jalan Ahmad Yani and Jalan Sudirman, Pekanbaru City is descriptive with qualitative methods, namely research that seeks to describe the object or subject under study as it is, as well as explain the variables and indicators. The results of research on good governance in the management of green open spaces in the city of Pekanbaru (a study of the transfer of functions of green open spaces) were analyzed through 4 indicators, namely accountability, transparency, openness and the rule of law. The data analysis technique used is Sedermayanti theory. Based on this analytical technique, the researchers assessed and concluded that good governance in the management of green open spaces has not been implemented properly, with the fact that in the field there are still many damaged facilities around green open spaces and there are still many traders who sell around green open spaces, causing the conversion of open space functions. green. There are several inhibiting factors in the management of open space, one of which is the lack of people who supervise green open spaces, causing many facilities to be damaged.
