Abstract

This research is entitled "The Existence of Cecah Inai Dance in Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province". The method used is a qualitative, descriptive approach. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Subjects in this study amounted to 5 people. The place of research was carried out on Jalan Narasinga, Rengat sub-district, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The data used in this research are data reduction, conclusion drawing, and verification. The theory used is the theory of Jazuli (2016: 52). From the results of research in the field, the results show that the existence of Cecah Inai Dance is as follows: 1. Cecah Inai Dance is a traditional dance that is danced for a pair of Malay brides, especially in Rengat District and has existed since the end of the Indragiri Hulu kingdom, 2. The form of presentation consists of Movement, Music, Costumes, Make-up, and Performances, 3. Cecah Inai Dance contains Religious Values, Social Values and Tradition Values.
