Abstract

The purpose of the study was to know public opinion against television cinema Ikatan Cinta on Housewives at 4th Hamlet, Kampung Dalam Urban Village, Siak Sub-District, Siak Regency. Since the emergence of first episode in October 19th 2020, Sinetron Ikatan Cinta could steal Indonesian society’s interest, had passed more than 500 episodes until now. This public cinema can make viewers, especially housewives do not want to miss every episode plot. The experimental design was descriptive method with descriptive qualitative approach. The researcher did interviews and direct observation to every informant in the field. Public opinion against sinetron Ikatan Cinta is formed through perception, attitude, and behaviour and then associated with the formation of opinion process resulting in forming attitude which is influenced by belief, attitude, and perception. Public Opinion against Sinetron Ikatan Cinta can be categorized as positive opinion.
