Abstract
This research was motivated by lack of students’ learning interest at Islamic Plus YLPI Primary School Pekanbaru. Generally, students should have high interest in learning. Learning interest was an important point to reach good achievement in learning. The research formulation stated that was there any effect of drill method toward students’ learning interest in fiqih lesson at Islamic Plus YLPI Primary School Pekanbaru. The purpose in this research was to know the effect of drill method toward students’ learning interest in fiqih lesson at Islamic Plus YLPI Primary School Pekanbaru. This research was quantitative design with correlational approach. This research used saturated sampling, where population became sample because it only 92 students. In collecting the data used questionnaire and documentation. Besides, this research findings showed that the hypothesis about the effect of drill method toward students’ learning interest accepted with significant score 0.000. then, the effect was strong with ( 0.78 or 78.4% ) . The prediction, if drill method improved, it could give contribution to improve students’ learning interest in 0.885 or 88.5%. Vice versa, if drill method decreased, students’ learning interest would decrease 0.885 or 88.5%. it could be concluded from this research findings that there was an effect of drill method toward students’ learning interest in fiqih lesson at Islamic Plus YLPI Primary School Pekanbaru.
