Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of learning cultural arts (offering dance) in the OTKP class 1 SMP Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru academic year 2019/2020. The method used in this research is interactive qualitative with descriptive analysis method. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The observations made were non-participant observation, the interviews were conducted, namely structured interviews, while the documentation that the researchers obtained were photos of teaching and learning activities and the documents used. The subjects in this study were 38 people consisting of 1 cultural arts teacher and 37 students of the OTKP class 1 SMK Muhamdiyah Pekanbaru. . In implementing cultural arts teaching activities, teachers are guided by the curriculum, syllabus, learning implementation plans, methods, facilities and infrastructure and evaluation. The results of this study indicate that in carrying out the process of teaching cultural arts (offering dance), the teacher uses the 2013 curriculum, the syllabus used is in accordance with the set curriculum and the rpp is arranged in accordance with the established curriculum and syllabus. The material studied in this cultural arts teaching is dance movements based on levels and floor patterns and dance offerings. In the material of the dance offerings, students are required to be able to demonstrate the dance offerings. Evaluations are carried out in accordance with those stipulated in the 2013 curriculum, namely there are three aspects that are the assessment of student learning processes, affective (attitude), cognitive (knowledge) and psychomotor (skills) assessments. In practice, students can do well according to their respective abilities.
