Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze Inventory control using ABC analysis in an effort to minimize the loss of merchandise at the Pekanbaru supermarket and to determine the self-service dragon policy in minimizing the loss of its merchandise. This research uses a descriptive analytical approach to see the problems faced and the activities carried out by Naga self-service in managing merchandise inventory during 2020. Merchandise inventory data is processed to provide an overview of the pattern of merchandise inventory then ABC analysis is carried out to determine the analysis of product demand, sales and stock. The result of this research is the control of merchandise inventory at Naga supermarket Pekanbaru is sufficient. From the results of the ABC demand analysis, it was found that the merchandise inventory category included in group A was 1 item, group B was 2 items, and group C was 7 items. A total of 36.35% of requests came from 1 item of class A goods and 28.7% of requests came from 2 items of goods from class B. 34.94% of requests were from class C From the results of the ABC analysis of the investment value it was found that the inventory category of consumable goods who entered into group A as many as 1 item, group B as many as 2 items, and group C as many as 7 items.
