Abstract

This study aims to determine the analysis process for the performance of the Department of Environment and Cleanliness in the Gardening Sector in managing city park in Pekanbaru City and it’s inhibiting factors. This research was conducted by analyzing the performance of the aforementioned department by using several indicators, namely Input, Process, Output, and Outcome. The measurement technique used in this study or research was the likert scale method, it was done by taking scores for each category in the measurement. This type of research process is already operating at the Department of Environment and Cleanliness of Pekanbaru City which uses descriptive analysis method with the quantitative method. In this study, data analysis was conducted using a descriptive quantitative method to describe the existing conditions in the field, data was further clarified through a questionnaire using the Likert scale and was given in discussion. The population and sample in this study were 17 daily freelance workers in the field of gardening and 18 communities. Two type of data used in this study were primary data, which was obtained directly from the respondents and secondary data, which it self is in the form of books, or documentation obtained from the Department of Environment and Cleanliness in Pekanbaru City. From the results of the research conducted, it was assessed and concluded regarding the performance analysis of the Department of Environment and Cleanliness in the Gardening Sector in Managing City Parks in the of Pekanbaru, it was found to be quite Effective, the recommendation that needs to be considered is to make a firm notification back to the daily freelancers in the field of landscaping to improve it’s work and inform the public firmly of the importance of maintaining and maintaining city parks in the implementation of managing city parks.
