Abstract

Therapeutic Communication in Improving Patient Satisfaction in Installation Inpatient 3M Plus Tembilahan Hospital in the Covid 19 Pandemic Era Rio Mas Hardinata NPM : 169110111 In the world of nursing, communication is very important to achieve the patient's healing process. In this communication there is a method called Therapeutic. For patients who are undergoing treatment in a hospital, communication between patients and nurses is something that should be carried out, because in two ways both communicate, the patient can know what is happening to him, so that anxiety about his illness does not run rampant to haunt the feelings he feels. most likely to make the patient become unaccepting of the situation and stress. The purpose of this research is therapeutic communication in increasing patient satisfaction at the inpatient installation of 3M Plus Tembilahan Hospital in the Covid 19 Pandemic Era and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method used is a qualitative method. The subjects in this study were 2 nurses at 3M Plus Tembilahan Hospital and 2 patients. From the results of the study, it is known that the therapeutic communication process of nurses in handling inpatients uses nonverbal therapeutic communication. Based on the observations in this study, there are two nonverbal communications that are often used by nurses unconsciously, namely kinesic and paralinguistic communication. Kinesics in the form of implementing verbal messages in body movements carried out by nurses, for example giving medicine. Nurses not only communicate verbally, but also move their hands to the lips of the mouth giving examples of how to take medicine.
