Abstract
The population growth in the city of Pekanbaru which is increasing over time makes the population need a place to live which causes changes in land use from open land to closed land or settlements. Closed land will result in rainwater that falls unable to flow optimally and can result in runoff Previously, the author had conducted research on Infiltration Well Planning to reduce surface runoff in the Hang Tuah Cipta Residence Pekanbaru. Based on the results of previous research on infiltration well planning, further research was carried out which aims to find the conditions for the application of infiltration wells that are most effective in reducing runoff by using the dimensions and depth of the well from the results of previous studies and analyzing the discharge before and after the infiltration well. The method in this study uses the calculation of infiltration discharge in various conditions according to Suripin, 2004 and is supported by rainfall data, permeability data, groundwater level data, house type data and infiltration well dimension data. From the results of the analysis, the amount of discharge that comes out of all houses before using the infiltration well is 1.635 m³/sec. After planning an infiltration well with a radius of 0.5 m and a depth of 9 m, the condition of the well (b) has the greatest effectiveness in reducing runoff, which is 87.321% with a residual discharge after using an infiltration well of 0.207 m³/sec.
