Abstract
This study discusses the phenomenon of prostitution involving child in Pekanbaru city by focusin study on jurisdiction of Pekanbaru Police. Chid prostitution is a crime that is not accordance with norms and rules life in Indonesia, this is also againts child protection law. Crime prevention strategy theory whic includes pre – emtive, preventive, and repressive effotrt is used to analyze the subject matter, bsed on this the role of Pekanbaru police in preventing child prostitution has been carried out in the accordance with theoritical prepositions, but there are weaknesses in this study, namely the limitations in obtaining data.
