Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of transparency and accountability in the management of village funds in Sungai Baung Village, West Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. This research is a descriptive research proposed to describe the existing phenomena. Interviews were conducted with the village government and community leaders who represent the community. The results of this study indicate that the transparency indicators of Sungai Baung Village are still not transparent enough, this is because the information contained in the information media provided is not in accordance with the Domestic Government Regulation (PERMENDAGRI) No. 20 of 2018 and in the accountability of village fund management on several indicators already in accordance with Domestic Government Regulation (PERMENDAGRI) No. 20 of 2018 such as indicators for the planning stage and the implementation stage. However, the results of this study in the accountability of village fund management, several indicators are still not in accordance with the Domestic Government Regulation (PERMENDAGRI) No. 20 of 2018 such as the reporting stage that cannot be said to be accountable.
