Abstract

Koto Mesjid Tourism Village is a tourism village that has implemented the concept of Community Based Tourism (CBT). Community Based Tourism (CBT) is a concept of developing tourism destinations by empowering local communities who pay attention to aspects of environmental, social and cultural sustainability. This study aims to determine the direction of tourism based on Community Based Tourism (CBT) in Koto Mesjid Tourism Village. There are several problems in Koto Mesjid Tourism Village, namely the lack of tourism supporting infrastructure in Koto Mesjid Tourism Village, the few people who work in the fishery sector, considering that Koto Mesjid Village is designated as a tourist village because of the natural potential and many fish ponds in the village, it is still very minimal. public knowledge in developing tourism potential, and the lack of human resources in the tourism sector. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to identify the existing conditions of tourism, the application of the concept of community based tourism (CBT) and the driving factors inhibiting tourism in Koto Mesjid Tourism Village. After identifying to formulate directions for developing community based tourism (CBT) villages in Koto Mesjid Tourism Village using IFAS-EFAS analysis. The results of this study indicate that the facilities and infrastructure in Koto Mesjid Tourism Village are still unfulfilled, community participation and empowerment have been going well, and there are still several inhibiting factors in the Koto Mesjid Tourism Village. Meanwhile, based on the IFAS-EFAS analysis, the directions for tourism based on community based tourism (CBT) in the Koto Mesjid Tourism Village are obtained, namely (1) Maintaining the characteristics of the Koto Mesjid Tourism Village. (2) Development of processed catfish food. (3) Increasing human resources through various training and skills training. (4) Improving the ability of the Koto Mesjid Tourism Village community regarding the management of tourist villages and understanding of the concept of community based tourism (CBT). (5) Increased accessibility to the Koto Mesjid Tourism Village. (6) Expansion of the market in the sale of specialty foods and handicrafts. (7) Repair and addition of infrastructure facilities to support the development of Tourism Villages.
