Abstract

This research aims to see the influence of interpersonal communication on employee engagement with the locus of control as a moderator variable in the managing employees of PT Perkebunan Nusantara V. This research hypothesis is the influence of interpersonal communication on employee engagement directly, and the role of locus of control in influencing the power of the influence of interpersonal communication on employee engagement. This research involved 130 employees of PTPN V. Data collection used the scale of employee engagement, the scale of interpersonal communication, and the locus of control scale as a measuring tool. Both hypothesis tests in this research were accepted with the results of an analysis that showed the influence of interpersonal communication on employee engagement with a significance value of 0.000. Then regression results using the Moderration Regression Analysis (MRA) method of interpersonal communication, locus of control, and employee engagement had a result of 0.001. The contribution of influence given by interpersonal communication to employee engagement by 10.3%. The effect of locus of control moderation that affects the power of the influence of interpersonal communication on employee engagement by 2%.
