Abstract
Every organization, both private and government, will strive to improve the performance of its employees in order to achieve its vision and mission. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work discipline, career planning and competence on the performance of Bengkalis Pratama Tax Office employees. This type of research is categorized as associative research, meaning research that seeks to understand the relationship between two or more variables. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 53 employees who were the sample of this study. Determination of the sample is done by random sampling. Data analysis was performed using statistical techniques such as validity, reliability and multiple regression. The results showed that work discipline, career planning and competence simultaneously had a significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, partially, work discipline and competence have a significant effect on employee performance, while career planning has no significant effect on employee performance. The leadership of the Bengkalis Pratama Tax Service Office, should pay attention to employee career planning so that employee performance increases Keywords: work discipline, career planning, competence, employee performance, multiple regression.
