Abstract

This study aims to describe the evaluation of the implementation of online learning policies by the Education Office during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 6 Taluk Kuantan, Kuantan Singini Regency IN 2020/2021. The problem in this research is based on the phenomenon that occurs in the world of education at this time where all schools use an online learning system. 1. Based on surveys and observations in the field, there is still a lack of implementation of online learning policies by the Education Office at SMP Negeri 6 Teluk Kuantan such as the failure to establish an Education Post during the COVID-19 emergency. This Education Post serves as the secretariat for handling the COVID-19 emergency in the education sector, does not facilitate online learning by providing technical guidance and training for teachers and education personnel who need assistance related to online learning. and also not reporting the progress of the implementation of online learning policies to the Ministry of Education and Culture and regularly informing the public about the development of online learning. This study uses the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. From the results of this study, an evaluation of the implementation of policies carried out by the Education Office during the Pandemic Period at SMP Negeri 6 Teluk Kuantan by ensuring that the fulfillment of students' rights to obtain educational services during the Covid-19 emergency was considered to have been achieved, indicated by the results of interviews with researchers with informants and also the data that the author got, namely the provision of free internet quota services for students, quota assistance and internet data is the government's effort to reduce the economic burden of teachers and students in learning because it is affected by the pandemic and also to access learning during online learning from home. While the inhibiting factors, namely facilities and the use of internet quotas are still limited, the lack of understanding of students during online learning is seen by some students who are lazy in the learning process. The government of Kuantan Singingi Regency, especially the education office, should provide debriefing training for teachers regarding online policies, and the Education Office should be more prepared to realize regulations from the center so that students, educators and teaching staff feel the facilities that should be felt during the implementation of online learning.
